Nahshon Hollis
Nahshon's passion for art began at just two years old. He has primarily been oil painting since seven years old, after being inspired by television's most beloved and iconic painting instructor, Bob Ross. Nahshon's work has been described as diverse in style and subject matter, ranging from surreal to lifelike impressions of the life and nature of Bermuda and the world. He loves to capture the majesty of nature and an authentic likeness of things. His work has been featured at the Bermuda Premier's Concert multiple times. In 2008, he had his very first solo art show at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. In 2009, he was featured online in Oprah Winfrey’s 'Search for the World’s Most Talented Kids'. In 2013, he was a winner of the Bermuda Outstanding Teen Awards in Visual Arts. He studied painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art. He has won numerous awards for his art and has auctioned his work to support humanitarian and school fundraisers. Some of his favorite artists include John Singer Sargent, Claude Monet, Johannes Vermeer, Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Bierstadt, Frederic Edwin Church, Thomas Cole, Bob Ross, and his sister, Shanna Hollis.
